- What is an food addiction
- Food can be as addictive as drugs or alcohol. When a food addict becomes dependent on the pleasure or feeling of satisfaction that food delivers, a cycle of unhealthy consumption is perpetuated. Gorging, binge-eating and overindulging can lead to numerous physical, emotional and social problems including heart disease, obesity, poor self-esteem and depression.
